Phil Henry

Pastor Phil Henry is an ordained Presbyterian minister and moved to Sewell, NJ, in 2009.

Phil and his wife Polly have been married for nearly 20 years and have six children. They were college sweethearts.

Phil studied Biology and Secondary Science Education as an undergraduate student and his first vocation out of college was as a middle and high school science teacher.

After teaching for several years, he resigned and moved to California to attend Westminster Theological Seminary. Phil graduated in 1999 with the M.Div. and was ordained as a minister of the Gospel in 2000.

Phil's first pastoral call (or parish) was in north central Illinois. He and Polly then followed their parents to Tucson, Arizona, where Phil served as a youth pastor in a church plant until 2006.

In the process of transitioning to New Jersey, Phil returned to teaching for the 2007-2008 school year as a special education science co-instructor at Palo Verde Magnet Public High School in Tucson.

Currently, Phil serves as the lead pastor at Mercy Hill and lives in Sewell, NJ.

Scott and Shelly Leary

Scott has spent most of his life in South Jersey.  He and his wife Shelly met in a church youth group and have been married for 9 years.  Their family has been with Mercy Hill since its humble beginnings in the Henry home in 2009.

They have two  children.  

Scott studied Bible and Social Work as an undergraduate student at Philadelphia Biblical University.

Shelly studied Sports and Exercise Science at Messiah College and her Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of Medicine and Dentistry.  She is a Per Diem Therapist at Fox Rehabilitation.

Currently, Scott serves as an assistant to Pastor Phil Henry and Liturgy Coordinator of the Sunday Gathering.  Shelly helps direct the Mercy Kids ministry on Sundays and serves as the full time Adminstrator of the church. 

 

Damon Marc Savage  

Marc has lived most of his life in South Jersey. Born just across the river in the big city of Philadelphia, he calls the small borough of Pine Hill his hometown.

 Marc graduated from Eastern University with a B.A. in Organizational Management, and is employed as a certified Information Technology professional.

 Marc is a disciple of Jesus. He joined Mercy Hill during her Pre-Launch stage in early  2010, and currently assists in the oversight of the worship and creative arts of  the           Gatherings.   He is also balancing his busy scheduled while being a full time student at           Westminster Seminary, Philadelphia.  

 

Patricia Kolody

Patti Kolody is an experienced operations supervisor for the last twenty years with an extensive background in project and personnel management, statistics, reporting, and policy development. 

At Mercy Hill, Patti works as the church's financial administrator. Her responsibilities include recording pledges and gifts to Mercy Hill, compiling monthly financial statements (income and expenses), overseeing the church's payroll processes, and monitoring state and federal compliance with 501(c) (3) regulations.

Patti is married to Jim and lives in Mickleton, NJ.

 Brett Page

 

Brett is a native of "Central" Jersey and has been attending Mercy Hill for over a year.  He moved to Illinois to study and received a B.A. in Biblical and Theological Studies from Wheaton College.   Brett has been back in New Jersey for five years and currently works as a library information assistant while studying towards an M.Div at Westminster Theological Seminary.

He joined Mercy Hill in August 2013 after learning about our internship program.  He currently helps with youth, the internship program, and Sunday worship services.  He likes to write, teach, and run on woodland trails.
