Internship Opportunity

Mercy Hill believes that healthy Christians are those disciples who are actively "making disciples" of others. On a church level, we believe churches "plant churches." One way we pursue this is by providing opportunities for young leaders to get hands-on experience in the context of a local church that's mission-minded, Gospel-centered, and biblical.

We are hoping to have three interns this yaer and have called the program our Pastoral Internship Program. It has both an academic and personal/pastoral focus. To learn more about it, and to apply, you can download the application here.

2013 Reboot Season

Hey fam,

I’ve been talking a lot about reboot over the summer and have had some great conversations with people individually and with groups.

I thought it would be helpful as we come to the end of the summer to summarize (1) where we’ve come from, (2) where we are, and (3) where we’re going in this next chapter of ministry, as a way to help explain what to expext as we reboot into this fall.

I’ll do this with a couple of short essays on The City.

With that said:

Where have we come from?

Where are we?

Where are we going?

Sincerely yours,
Under His Blood,

Pastor Phil Henry

Mercy Hill Pastoral Internship Program

Mercy Hill's Pastoral Internship Program (PIP) is designed to equip, train, and prepare men for pastoral ministry as well as help clarify a pastoral calling on the manʼs life.

The next course begins in September 2013 and ends in June 2014. A maximum of five men will be allowed entrance into the PIP per two semester period.

One of the main goals if the PIP is to examine and clarify a calling to ministry. Often times a calling to pastoral ministry is difficult to discern alone.

The ultimate hope of the PIP is not to grow our brains but to grow our hearts and our affections for God, as well as learn how to think deeply about Him, His church, and pastoral ministry in general.

If you are a man who is unsure of a specific calling to pastoral ministry but sense a desire to apply, please feel free to do so, here.
